Show Notes

Kathija topics;
Here are some topics I would feel comfortable speaking on and adding to the conversation:
  • Professional Development – tips to get more people engaged, the importance of developing a learning culture, the necessity to make this a priority on your own
  • Human Capital – what it means, how to make it grow
  • Workplace skills identifying the weight of perception versus intention – interview tips, resume writing tips, professional attire based on your job duty, possessing a consistent positive attitude, how to be a team player, flexibility, servant leadership, relate-ability
  • The culture of the forgotten Millennial (sometimes referred to as “Gen X”) – folks around 30-35, who are still considered a “Millennial”, do not have as much attention given towards retention. What is this group looking for? What do we consider as “Recognition”, specific learning styles, the importance of trust and exemplifying it through actions
  • Understanding your audience to develop educational programming – tips to collect and analyze trends, when it is important to go right to the source for polling, how to determine info your audience needs to know but they don’t know they need to, interactive exercises vs. group size, testimonials and continuing to allow content to evolve
  • Anthropology of the Workplace – understanding the cultural history of an individual can open doors and maintain appropriate respect levels, how do we do this in a diverse workplace with many employees?
  • The importance of employee engagement and how it directly correlates with your bottom line
  • Paving your own way – often the path to your individual success is not laid out before you, how do you hone your skills, make yourself an asset, an identify and claim the opportunities that life lays before you like breadcrumbs
  • Working with difficult or challenging personalities, particularly if you are supervising said personalities or direct reporting to one
